- TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFULL PROJECT
- Gather information and ideas - There are many options available.
Search home shows, retail stores, magazines and the internet. Ask questions. There are a lot of options out there. Changing
plans late in the process can become costly!
- Be aware of what inconveniences may arise. If you have one bathroom and
it is out of service for a few weeks...???
- Find a contractor you are comfortable with. You will need to work closely
with them. Ask for references and obtain a written contract. Be cautious of contractors who ask you to pick up the building
permit.
- Be wary about paying for work not yet completed.
- Ask questions. A good contractor should want to make
you aware and comfortable with the process.
